Gold Eye Makeup Look

So here I am with another makeup tutorial! I'm actually really enjoying doing these at the moment as I hope you are reading them! The last one I posted I believe was my Prom Makeup which went down really well so make sure you go check that out if you haven't already!

This makeup look is a gold one and it's also quite glittery and shimmery - however, I wear looks like this during the day as well as for nighttime dos etc. It can be for any occasion, it's your face so do what you want! I don't really make looks suited to a particular time of day or event unless it's really extravagant, which this isn't.

Without further ado, let's get started!

Before any makeup went on!

Just to make it clear, this is the MUA Mosaic Blush in 'English Rose'. My ultimate favourite blusher of all time which I am quickly running out of so I need to head down to Superdrug to buy some more!

Here I have used the 'Undressed' palette for anyone who isn't sure!

Posy, posy time!

I haven't really gone into too much detail about the products I use but I will be doing brand spotlight's etc. in the near future which will allow me to go into a lot of depth about the products listed and used here.

This is one of my favourite eye makeup looks to wear so I really hope you enjoyed this and I hope you enjoy having a play around with your gold eye shadows now!

Thanks again,

Review | Estee Lauder All-Over Face Compact

Today I wanted to review a product I’ve been loving and using to death recently just because I’ve really enjoyed using it and I want to share it with you so you guys can try it too!

As you have seen by the title it is an Estee Lauder product – admittedly I don’t have many products from the higher end of things so this is one of my few which makes me quite happy to be able to review it!!

I received this as a Christmas gift I believe, it came in a huge set with lots of other Estee Lauder products which was a really nice present to receive and I’ve used all of the products in it quite a lot really! However, this palette has probably been one of my favourites out of the whole set I received.

I actually don’t think this is available to buy on its own because I can’t find it anywhere other than eBay, it could also have been discontinued but I don’t know enough about Estee Lauder to be able to give you any advice about that, sorry! Anyone who is an Estee Lauder expert please do leave a comment about where to purchase this product if you know to help everyone out!

Anyway, onto the review!

There are 3 blushes in this palette:
Pure Colour Blush in 08 ‘Peach Passion’
Pure Colour Blush in 10 ‘Lover’s Blush’
Pure Colour Blush in 02 ‘Pink Kiss’

And there is 1 bronzer:
Bronze Goddess Bronzer in 02 ‘Medium’

All 4 of these products get used on a regular basis and this has been my go-to bronzer for a couple of weeks now as well as going between the 3 blushes on a day-to-day basis.

They all have a great consistency, although my swatch picture doesn’t really do them much justice, when they are on your face they look amazing, especially the bronzer which I feel gives my face just the right amount of dimension when I use it in my cheekbones, T-zone etc.

They also all have really great staying power and I find they last most of the day which is always really good for me as I have combination dry/oily skin and my natural oils really do come out during the day so, to have a product that can stay on well through that is really a good thing for me.

I think the packaging is absolutely gorgeous, I could never fault Estee Lauder for their packaging, the gold always looks so stunning and I’ve had no problems with the quality of the packaging either. It looks really good in your makeup bag which is always a good feeling I think.

It does come with a small compact brush however, I don’t use it. I tend not to use the brushes that come with palettes because I often find they’re too small or not very good quality. With this one, quality isn’t an issue it’s simply just the size so I tend to use some of my Real Techniques or Bare Minerals brushes to apply these products.

All 4 products are shimmer which some people may not be too keen on and sometimes I’m not either. However, with these products I find I really like the shimmer it gives as it makes my skin look like it’s literally glowing which is always a nice feeling! It’s not like Edward Cullen in the sunlight though don’t worry it isn’t that extreme! It’s just enough to give a bit of extra light to your face and I suppose in some ways it saves you having to wear highlighter as I tend not to wear a highlighter if I am using these products.

And that’s all I have to say about it really! I would talk about the price but I don’t really know how much this would cost alone as I received it as a gift and it also came in a set so apologies for that but have a little hunt and see what you can find!

See you all again on Friday!

Prom Makeup

Hi guys! So, I had my prom last night and it was actually a really nice night with my friends and it was a lovely way to end the high school era!

So, I thought I'd share with you the makeup look that I did for last night! It all stayed on so well too even though I was sweating because it was so hot in there, so expect some reviews of some of the new products featured here coming up soon!

I'm not going to go into too much detail here about each product but I will be doing reviews so just keep your eyes peeled!

The first thing I did was use some essential water and moisturiser to treat my skin a little bit before I put any makeup on it.

I applied a small amount of Bare Minerals Prime Time Foundation Primer to my skin. This is a really good primer also, so I recommend it if you are looking for a new primer!

This is a venture into something new for me...powder foundation! But I have to say, the Bare Minerals Original has been very nice to me the few times I have used it so far. Full review to come soon!

And again with another Bare Minerals product, the Mineral Veil Loose Powder. Another amazing product, might even be better than Rimmel Stay Matte...

And a product that we all know that I live by! The Rimmel Wake Me Up concealer has been my best friend for a few months now. A very small amount of this under my eyes does the perfect job!

This is 'Warmth' by Bare Minerals, which as you can see is a very, VERY dark bronzer. I only used a very small amount of this on the hollows of my cheeks and around my chin and down the side of my face to shape the face a little more.

For blusher I went for Estee Lauder's '08 Peach Passion' and I just lightly brushed this over the apples of my cheeks.

For the particular look I went for at prom, Urban Decay's Eyeshadow Primer Potion in 'Sin' was the best match. I also can't recommend the Primer Potions enough, absolutely amazing products!

My gorgeous NAKED palette, will forever be my one true love.

The first colour I used for this look was 'Toasted' and I applied this all over the lid.

After that, I went for 'Hustle' for my crease and in the outer corner to create a bit of a smoked out effect.

I then went to 'Sidecar' and I just brushed this over the whole lid as well. This doesn't really do much to the look but I think it gives it a lighter effect as it's slightly lighter than the other colours I used in this look.

And finally I went to 'Virgin' for my inner corner highlight. This for me is the perfect colour for an inner corner highlight, and I think many people who own this palette will agree with me on that!

I hadn't done winged eyeliner for about 2 months when I did this tutorial so I wasn't sure how well it was going to go, it went okay though! One of my favourite eyeliners, brilliant if you are starting out with winged eyeliner as it is such easy application.

Another product I have been loving and have a review scheduled for! Estee Lauder's Sumptuous Extreme mascara. There was no need for false lashes with this bad boy!

And now for lips! I went with my e.l.f Shimmer Gloss in 'Make a Wish'. I think this is a really lovely and very simple colour but it gives a gorgeous glossy effect, definitely prom worthy!

And here's a pic of me applying the lipgloss because, well why not!?
Now you can enjoy some selfies that I had every joy in taking to show off the gorgeous look that I am very proud of!

I hope you enjoyed this tutorial and I hope you liked the look! There will be plenty more posts about my prom coming up so keep your eyes peeled for more!

I was also contacted by Hello Magazine earlier on today and they were asking if I had any questions for Michelle Keegan as they had seen my post on her wedding the other week and they are hosting a live Twitter interview with her tomorrow at 6pm. So, I've sent in my questions so now all you need to do, is head over to Twitter and tweet @hellomag and use the hashtag '#HELLOMichelle' with all of your questions! If you would like to read my post on Michelle and Mark's wedding, you can do so here.

Sunday GRWM - Chilled Family Day

So yesterday, I enjoyed a nice peaceful Sunday Dinner with my family. Although I didn't go all out fancy which is normally an excuse to do a Get Ready With Me, I thought it would be nice to show you a more chilled day and how I get ready for that!

So of course, I started off in my PJs! Which are actually from Next if anyone was interested! (The top says 'I need a bear hug' and the shorts have pandas all over them!)

The first thing I do is hop in the shower. Here are my current shower staples!
Head & Shoulders Shampoo
Garnier Ultimate Blends Conditioner
Radox Coconut Kiss Shower Gel
Liz Earle Cleanse and Polish Hot Cloth Cleanser
Tea Tree Daily Facial Scrub

Here's an interesting face for you... Pore strips are my favourite thing ever, so satisfying to pull off! I highly recommend you try them if you haven't already!

Once I've taken off my pore strip I used some of the L'Occitane Essential water and my simple moisturiser just to treat my skin a little more before I put my makeup on.

And then I dry my hair and do my makeup! I'm not going into detail about the makeup look I did here as it was a practice for my Prom on Sunday and I am doing a full tutorial on this look very soon! So keep your eyes peeled for that when it comes out!

Here is my outfit also! Just a casual jumper from Primark with some jeans from Tesco!

I hope you enjoyed this and I will see you all again on Wednesday for a review!

Who is enjoying me going back to the schedule?

Love, Becca
