Another Mini Primark Summer Clothing Haul!

So today it actually felt slightly like summer here in the UK. And it hasn't felt like May at all so I was pretty happy when the sun came out and I was able to roll my school jumper sleeves up because I was warm.

So, I thought that why not share a haul with you? I did a mini summer clothing haul not that long ago actually, so you can read that here. But, after I'd posted that I did a little more shopping and so I thought I'd share it with you because I love seeing other people's recent buys so why not share my own! Plus, it's a bit of a Primark one so why not! We all love a bit of Primark!

Enjoy!

So I got 3 wraps to wear around the pool! The third one is really just a piece of material that you wrap around and tie rather than looking more like a dress.

I fell in love with these shorts even though this picture of them hurts my eyes... For only £5 I think they're super cute!

This playsuit was also only £5 - I think we can all agree Primark does have some pretty good bargains!

I got 2 of these (the next one is further down) simply because I think they're just a staple really, they go with absolutely anything and again for £2.50 you can't go wrong!

I don't need to say anything more about these other than the fact they're gorgeous!

3 vest tops, just a summer wardrobe staple really!

And finally I got some more trainer socks. I really like the sport and workout socks from Primark because they're actually really good quality and they are SO comfy, honestly can't stress to you how comfy they are!

So I hope you enjoyed a little insight into Primark's summer stash! See you all very soon!

Pick Me Ups

So, if you didn't already know, this post is part of a little blogger series I'm taking part in called the "Secret Blogger Project 2015" run by teen bloggers EmilyRebekka and Charlotte. About 30 of us will be writing twice a week on selected little lifestyle topics and you can also go onto the Twitter and Instagram hashtag "#secretbp2015" to have a little chat and view everyone's posts. If you would like to join or know more (we'd love to have you!) Instagram DM @theperks0fbeingemily or if you don't have Instagram, send a quick email to rebekkarosebeautyxo@gmail.com.

The first post of April is entitled 'Pick Me Ups' as you will have seen by the title.

We all have those days where we feel really tired and down, personally for me that's happening a lot more frequently now since all the stress of GCSE countdown started! I'm sure other people in year 11 will be feeling the same pain as me right now!
So, on those days where I need to find something to pick myself up I'll do a few things to help that process along so I thought why not share it with you guys! If this helps one person then I'm happy!

1) Reading
This might not work for you if you aren't a big reader, but for me personally I find that sitting down and reading a good non-fiction book or an autobiography gives me something else to think about, someone else's life rather than worrying about how much I have to do or any problems I'm having in my own life. I often find that once I've done a bit of reading and go back to doing whatever was bringing me down, it gives me a fresh pair of eyes and it makes me think of things differently. Give it a try sometime and see if it works for you.

2) Take a shower/bath
A bath would be my preference however since my parents got our bathroom redecorated and got rid of our bath, a shower is my only option. On a normal day I think a lot in the shower, sometimes too much but if I'm having a down day I normally just hop in and sing like no ones listening. I think we all sing in the shower, so just hop in and belt out your favourite tune like no one can hear you and I promise you'll feel better for it afterwards! Your family might have a little giggle from downstairs too which is also entertaining!

3) Pamper yourself
Whether it's doing your hair, makeup, getting dressed up or just giving yourself a facial and painting your nails whilst in your PJs then I don't see why you shouldn't. Whatever it is that makes you feel good, do it. Not for anyone else but yourself. Take an hour or however long you want, a whole day even, just to do something for yourself for once, stop thinking about other people and things you have to do just for a moment and do something for yourself.

4) Go for a walk
If I'm feeling really stressed out or really down, a walk is always a good option. Grab your camera or your phone and go for a walk and just take pictures to your heart's content. Then go home and look through all the photos you've taken and be proud of what you've created. Upload them onto social media and show off your talent or just keep them to yourself for your own personal pride.

5) Watch your favourite movie
Whether its a rom com, a soppy teary film or a happy go lucky film, grab it out the cupboard and put it on. Light some candles and switch your fairy lights on and just get into bed and chill. This is honestly one of my favourite things to do and I do it most nights. Saturday night TV is a good alternative if you can't decide on a film. I believe Britain's Got Talent starts up again tonight for all those Brits out there so that's what I'll be watching tonight!

I hope this was a little bit helpful to you in some way, whether you use these ideas now or in a months time when you're having a bad day.

See you soon for another post.

March Favourites

Happy March!

I'm aware that I haven't posted in a while and I also missed the 2nd Secret Blogger Project 2015 post last month so I'm sorry to those girls for that! However, school has been so busy with my first GCSE exams starting next month and I just honestly haven't had the time to sit down and write a post.

However, it's the Easter half term and I'm going to try and get a few posts in during the next 2 weeks before things start getting really busy!

As you've probably seen by the title I'm going to kick start April with my March Favourites!

I'm gonna start off with 2 lip products. The first is my Strawberry Sorbet eos lipbalm. I love this thing to death and I honestly couldn't live without it! Definitely a holy grail product for me, it's so hydrating and it tastes really good too! However, that's not great if you're hungry!
The second lip product I want to talk about is the Revlon Colourburst Lip Butter in Juicy Papaya. I have used this lip butter quite a lot now, it's super pretty and isn't as bright as it looks in the packaging. It's actually quite a neutral tone but adds enough colour to be quite a summery colour for the lips. It's also quite moisturising and applies very easily to the lips.

The next product is another holy grail product - Batiste Dry Shampoo. I'm pretty sure you'll have heard of it, if not tried it! This is the tropical scent and it's one of my favourites. Batiste is an amazing brand and it is definitely a hair product I will stick by for years to come. It's perfect for those days when you sleep in and don't have time to wash your hair.

The NAKED Palette is back. I've talked about this palette so much on my blog since I got it for Christmas but I've honestly fallen in love with it. It's so perfect for everyday and evening use. I haven't been using it as much the past few days because I've been too busy to have time to do it! But, this is my go to palette at the moment and I highly recommend checking Urban Decay's eyeshadow palettes out if you don't have any already. I will definitely be investing in more in the future!

One Direction's Our Moment perfume is one of my absolute favourite scents. I only wear this on very special occasions because I don't want to use it all up! I'm honestly dreadful at describing scents so you'll just have to go to your local perfume shop and smell it for yourself! It's a very fresh and quite simple scent but it lasts for a good amount of time, plus the bottle is just adorable and I could look at it all day!

Wipes are an essential for me and I have really been liking these Johnson's Moisturising face wipes. I don't have particularly dry skin however in the winter, I do get some dry patches and these wipes have been perfect in helping that along. These wipes are also miracle workers when it comes to Benefit's They're Real Push Up Liner which I personally find impossible to get off. However, with these wipes it comes off straight away which is a bonus for me.

I received a new laptop for my birthday and honestly, I've never stopped using it since! This is the HP Pentium I think, I'm just reading what's written on the laptop itself! But I would highly recommend HP laptops if you're out looking for a new one because so far I've had nothing to complain about with this laptop. This particular laptop has 1 terabyte work of space which is brilliant for me because I save basically everything!

Due to my GCSEs coming up very soon, I've made a revision timetable particularly for school days. However, in the holidays and often on weekends I do a lot more than what is on here. I find that writing myself a revision timetable and having it stuck up right next to my desk makes it easier for me to focus on a subject and get a decent amount of work done ready for a well earned break during spaces where there are no subjects.

My contract got upgraded in March which meant I was able to upgrade my iPhone 4 to an iPhone 5c and I absolutely love it! My phone is one thing that is always in my hand or in my pocket and my iPhone 4 was getting really old and was getting very slow with apps and the internet so I was due to get a new phone. The 5c is such a good phone and I would highly recommend it for iPhone lovers, or even if you've never had an iPhone, this is a good place to start!

I'm in love with this purse. That's all I have to say really. It's so pretty and it's also a perfect size for me. I often carry a lot around in my purse with me and so a large purse is very helpful! As you can probably see it is from River Island and honestly I think River Island do some of the nicest purses so go check that out!

As I mentioned in my February Faves, I was reading The Scorch Trials and loving it. I have now moved on to the next book in the collection and I'm now loving The Death Cure! The Maze Runner series by James Dashner is one of my favourite series that I've read yet and I highly recommend reading the books before seeing any of the films! I haven't seen the films yet because I prefer to read books first so if you can deal with the temptation, give it a go!

I hope you enjoyed this post and I will hopefully see you sometime soon in the Easter holidays!

Happy Easter!

DIY T-Shirt Shaping

It's the weekend, praise the lord.

I want to start of this post by saying that I'm sorry I've not been on here posting as much as I would have liked to recently but it's honestly so hard to find the time to just sit down and write at the moment. GCSE final exams are coming up in about 6 weeks for me and I have A LOT of work to do. So, as a result of this bad timing I don't think I'm going to be blogging as much as I have been recently. I think it'll probably be the way it's been the past 2 weeks, i.e. 1 post a week at the weekend because that's all I have time for right now, I hope you guys understand.

However, all of my exams are finished by the 12th of June so I have 11 weeks of summer so I promise you will hear plenty of me during those 11 weeks!

Anyway, onto today's post! I thought I'd do a little DIY that I came up with a while ago actually, but I did it again this week and so I thought I'd blog about it!

I had a dance show on Wednesday, it was a festival so I was only in 1 dance but we needed to wear a bright top. I found this slouchy orange t-shirt sitting in my wardrobe and thought it would be perfect - ignore the fact I look like I'm fresh out of Orange Is The New Black.

However, I don't like t-shirts that come too far up my neck because I feel like I'm being strangled. I don't know if anyone else feels this way but if it's too tight around my neck I can't deal with it and have to cut it or not wear it. Weird, I know.

So, I decided to cut the neck to make it looser and also made it look a lot nicer in my opinion. Here's the tutorial!

So here's the t-shirt before all the damage was done!...

This is all you will need for this DIY. :)

The first thing I would always suggest doing is making a dotted line with your pen where you are going to cut. I've missed this step out before and I promise you it didn't end well. Don't be silly like me!

Then just whip out the scissors and cut off the section you want! Take your time though, you can't stick it back on once it's off!

And that's the finished look!

All I did to finish this off was roll up the sleeves. In the past I've also cut the sleeves off too so if you want to do that go for it! I just didn't feel like it so I rolled them instead! Still looks just as good!

And that's all it is! This literally takes 2 minutes to do and you can play about with it however you like! I think the rough cut edge adds a bit of a rustic look to the shirt which is a bit different.

I hope you liked this and I will see you all again soon!

Getting Creative - Spring Room Decor

Hey guys!

I know I've kind of neglected my blog for the last week or so but I've been super busy and just haven't had the time to sit down and write so I'm sorry about that! But I'm back today with my second post as a part of the Secret Blogger Project 2015.

So, This post is part of a little blogger series I'm taking part in called the "Secret Blogger Project 2015" run by teen bloggers EmilyRebekka and Charlotte.

If you didn't see my first post as part of the Secret Blogger Project 2015, you can read that here.

This week's theme for the post was DIY and creative stuff. I'm one of the least creative people ever and I don't do very much DIY but I thought room decor is one place where I can do something to share with you guys!

Here goes, hope you enjoy this read!

So those are a few of the items I use to decorate my bedroom to make it feel a little more homely. I got my room redecorated last year and I'm still not 100% happy with it so until I am, there won't be any full room tours or anything because I want to be 100% happy with it before I share the whole place with you! But you get to see plenty of it in the background of other blog photos so I hope that will do for now!

Anyway, I hope you liked this little room decor post and I hope it maybe gave you some inspiration for your own bedroom!

Until next time,

Love, Becca

February Favourites

February Favourites
Well, there’s another month over and done with! Where has 2015 gone!? Yeah I know it’s only March but still, that’s a quarter of the way through the year already! I can’t be the only one that thinks it’s going really quickly! Moving onto a new month can only mean one thing… Monthly Faves time!!!

This is also a super duper long favourites this month, just as a pre-warning!

Let’s get on with last month’s favourites then!

I’ve used nose strips before however, the last ones I used weren’t as good as these ones! These are the Skin Lite Nose Pore Cleansing Strips. I get a lot of blackheads on my nose, but nowhere else. I’m sure a lot of other people have that problem too. Blackheads are possibly the most annoyingly disgusting things that could appear on my face, I honestly hate them so much. I find it really hard to get rid of them, but with these strips, once you pull them off after the suggested 10-15 minutes, you can actually feel the blackheads being pulled out (sounds gross and painful but I promise it’s not) and you can then see them on the strip once you’ve pulled it off. That for me is one of the most satisfying things ever. It doesn’t quite get every single blackhead because that would be pretty impossible, at least with the amount that appear on my nose, but it does make a difference looking closely at your nose afterwards. This often makes your pores appear bigger and deeper but that’s just because they’ve been fully opened up after the removal of the blackheads.

Sticking with skincare, I’ve really been loving the Simple Refreshing Facial Wash Gel. I featured this in my Winter GRWM and I’ve been really loving it this month. It’s really nice to use after removing my makeup, it goes onto the skin really nicely and most importantly, it makes my face feel clean afterwards. I have so many cleansers but this is probably going to be one of my favourites because it’s so nice to use either in the shower or just over the sink on a morning or evening before going out or going to bed. Very quick to use with a little bit of water and a flannel.

I received a Montagne Jenessee Cucumber Face Mask in my stocking for Christmas and I’ve been waiting for a nice opportunity to use it and I decided that when I did my GRWM I was going to use it as you may have seen. I love these peel off masks because they don’t make your face ridiculously tight but they make you feel like it’s doing something to your skin. Of course, the best part of using a peel off mask is when you get to peel it off! It’s like being in first school again, deliberately covering your fingers in PVA glue and waiting for it to dry just so you can peel it off! Anyway, I also really like how my skin feels after I’ve removed the mask because I always feel really clean and refreshed which is a really nice feeling to have.

As you may remember, over the period of Christmas and my birthday, I received a lot of Soap and Glory products so I thought I’d mention something I received then that I’ve really been loving. II can’t get enough of this Hand Dream! I’ve never been a huge fan of hand creams because I don’t really get dry hands and I find it really frustrating when it doesn’t sink in quick enough and I have to wait for that greasy feeling to go away. However, Hand Dream Super Cream has completely changed my opinion on hand cream! This tube comes everywhere with me now and I love it to bits. It smells lovely, the bottle isn’t overly huge and it doesn’t take an ice age to sink in!!! That’s probably the best part about it!

The next Soap and Glory Product I’ve actually had for a while now but I’ve recently been using more often, specifically on my legs. This is The Scrub of Your Life and it literally is the best scrub I’ve used! It has quite large exfoliating particles but it feels so nice on the skin and this scrub also lathers up too so I guess it acts as a soap and a scrub all in one! Even better! I’ve been getting quite dry skin on my legs recently as a result of being on my knees and dancing a lot so I’ve been trying to exfoliate and moisturise more to try and solve or at least minimize that problem, and this product has really helping.

Sticking with shower products, I also want to talk about a LUSH product that I received for Christmas. I believe the So White shower gel was a Christmas shower gel if I’m thinking of the right thing. Anyway, it smells AMAZING and I’ve loved using this in the shower. I love the smell of apples and this shower gel could just be pure apple juice in a bottle for all I care! The only thing I will say about this product is it’s very watery which is slightly annoying but it still lathers lovely and obviously, leaves my skin smelling amazing as well as looking quite good too as it has a hint of shimmer in it too! Perfect for using in the shower before going out somewhere!

Finally on the skincare front and also going back to Soap and Glory is the Wash Your Hands of It soap. Sorry for so much Soap and Glory but it was pretty much inevitable with the amount I received this year! I’ve loved using this soap to wash my hands lately, it smells really nice and I think it looks quite cute sitting by the sink – totally not relevant but oh well, it does! This soap also doesn’t dry your hands out either which sometimes I find particular soaps do that to me so this one is perfect for that!

Moving onto makeup now, I’ve recently joined the Rimmel Wake Me Up concealer band wagon. So late on this product I know, but just to redeem myself I tried the foundation about a year and a half ago so I’m not completely behind! This concealer is literally the best thing since sliced bread! I’ve fallen head over heels for it! I find it really illuminating which is great for covering dark circles under my eyes, which I have a lot more of than I can account for! It also has really good coverage and pigmentation making it super easy to apply and it stays on really well all day. It’s also super easy to slip in your makeup bag for when you’re on the go and I just love it! That’s all I can really say! It’s an amazing product I say!

The next makeup product I want to talk about I know I’ve talked about loads before but it’s the MUA Lipstick in Shade 11. I think this colour is just super easy to wear, it’s not too bold but it looks good with anything and it also stays on really well which is always a good thing for me in a lipstick because lipstick just seems to fall off my mouth somehow… It’s really pigmented and just looks really pretty on the lips. I love it, can’t say much more really!

The final makeup favourite I want to talk about is the huge e.l.f. palette I received for Christmas. I love e.l.f. I just wish it was available in physical shops in the UK! My friend sent this to me from the US and I absolutely love it. There are so many colours in this one palette and it isn’t even that big of a palette! There’s probably every colour under the sun in there and it’s just perfect. All of the colours have really nice pigmentation and consistency and there is a range of matte, shimmer and glitter shades so there’s something for everyone. There’s also a huge range of light and dark colours so you can range from really simplistic and natural to much more dramatic which is perfect in a palette like this because it makes it so versatile which I love.

Sticking with e.l.f. I have also been loving 3 of their Shimmer Glosses. The 3 pictured look quite similar but they all look really lovely on the lips. I don’t find these too sticky and the consistency is just generally really nice. They have a doe-foot applicator which I like best for lipglosses as it makes them so much easier to apply with or without a mirror, at least that’s what I think. Applying a lip product without a mirror is never easy but I find these type of applicators make it slightly easier! There is obviously a tiny bit of shimmer in these but it’s nothing too dramatic. The colour also isn’t too bright either so they’re all more natural than bright and bursting with colour which I prefer.

Now I’m going to discuss 2 Benefit products that I’ve been loving this month. This is the Benefit They’re Real mascara and eyeliner duo. I’ve been loving the mascara for about a year now as you may or may not know, but the liner was a new one for me this Christmas and I’ve never looked back. The push-up applicator makes application so much easier and quicker. It’s perfect for anyone starting out in winged eyeliner and I honestly don’t think I’ll be changing eyeliners anytime soon. The mascara is just amazing. I’ve loved it for ages now, it volumises slightly better than it lengthens but it still looks really nice on. The extra part on the end of the applicator also makes it so much easier to get right into the corner lashes.

Moving away from makeup I want to talk about the Zoella Body Mist. I received this for my Christmas off a friend and it has been my everyday scent since then. Considering I’ve worn it most days for about 2 months with top ups throughout the day, I still have so much left which makes me extremely happy. This mist has a really fresh scent and it smells exactly how I would expect Zoe to smell. That was a weird comment but you know what I mean! The packaging is also super cute and I love the way it looks sitting on top of my dressing table.

Now it’s time for the random favourites!

I’ve been trying to read this book for so long and I’m still only half way through it’s just so hard to find the time to actually sit down and read it! It’s such a good story line though! For anyone who doesn’t know, this is the second book in The Maze Runner series so you would need to read The Maze Runner before but I highly recommend reading this series, such a gripping book with what I will openly admit is a really weird story line and it does scare me sometimes but I’m still reading it which can only be a good thing, I haven’t given up despite having no time to read it!

A piece of jewellery I’ve been loving this month is this Hasma Hand anklet that I ordered from Dainty Day Dream the other month. I love this anklet to death, it’s so simple but looks so pretty and I really can’t wait for summer because I think this will look really nice with some flip flops or sandals and shorts. In case you didn’t see it, I did a post including a discount code for Dainty Day Dream jewellery. If you are interested in getting a 20% discount from this company, please click here and you will be diverted to the post I did including the link for the Dainty Day Dream website as well as the code you need to use.

The next favourite of this month are my lantern fairy lights that I have on my bedroom window. I bought these from Primark for £6 which was an absolute bargain and I think these lights are super pretty. They really add a lot of effect to my room at night. They even look pretty during the day which is obviously a bonus!

Another decor favourite is this Prosecco candle from Urban Outfitters. This candle literally smells amazing, I'm awful at describing smells so just go to Urban Outfitters, find this candle and smell if for yourself. I think it's quite a sweet scent so if that's not what you like then this might not be for you but go give it a sniff anyway, Urban Outfitters have a really good range of candles at the minute so go have a look!

I said right at the start of the year that I was going to get organised, so the next 2 favourites are as a result of that promise I made to myself! The first is my diary, I have used this to write absolutely everything in lately and it has helped me stay so organised!

The second form of organisation this month has been post-its. I’ve used post-its a lot this month to remind me about things etc. and I’ve actually forgotten my books etc. a lot less by using these! So I think using this is a positive thing for me and I’m going to continue with it in the run up to my exams!

Woah, that was a really long favourites! I hope you enjoyed it none the less and well done if you got this far!

See you next time,

Love, Becca
