My Bedside Table

I have wanted to do a room tour for a really long time now, but I had my room redecorated about a year ago now and I'm still not 100% happy with everything. There are pictures I want to go up etc. so I don't want to do a full room tour until I'm fully happy with it.

However, I've decided that until I'm happy with everything, I can still show you snippets of things that I think look okay at the moment. Today I went for my bedside table/box because I had no where else to put the box so it's being the best of both worlds! I'm not 100% happy with this either, but I'm never happy with anything so I'm always going to be searching for improvement. But, here it is anyway, there aren't many things on it right now but it looks tidy that way so it's good enough!

So, as you can see, there isn't really a great deal there, but I'll work on it!

I'll start with the black screen in the corner that you're probably wondering why I would want a black thing sitting on my bedside table. It's actually a digital photo frame which some of you probably worked out straight away, oh well. I didn't switch it on for the photo because it wasn't really focusing on the screen and it just didn't look right but at night or sometimes during the day I'll just have this on a constant loop of loads of my photos which is really lovely because it means I can have a lot of photos on show without having cluttered photo frames everywhere!

Next thing is a book. I will always keep the book that I am in the middle of reading on my bedside table because I like to read before going to bed in the evenings, so it's just handy to keep it there. At the moment, I am reading The Kill Order by James Dashner which is the prequel to The Maze Runner. I have read through the whole series so far and this is the last one so I might do a review of the series if you would like to see that, just let me know in the comments! All I'll say now is that it's been a great set of books and I've really enjoyed reading them.

There is also a candle sitting on here which was around £2 from Primark I think, maybe £3. It's in the scent 'appletini' and it smells amazing, I can't even describe it to you. I fell in love with it when I found it and I was going to get the smaller one until I spotted this huge 60 hour one and went for that one instead! I don't really burn candles much in the summer because it makes my room really warm and I just don't really feel it's a very summery thing so it just sits there looking pretty until winter comes around again!

I have another photo frame over in the right hand corner which has a picture of me and Matt in it, who is my boyfriend for anyone who doesn't know. My gran bought me this photo frame for Christmas because I had a photo of Matt and I sitting on my bedside table already, except the only frame I had left to put it in was a friends one which he wasn't too happy about so I asked for a new one to put it in. It's just a really simple silver metal one, it goes with my room and it's a place to put the photo so I'm happy! And so Is Matt now that I'm not referring to him as my friend in a photo!

And finally the last thing I keep on my bedside table are my TV remotes because I'm lazy and keeping them anywhere else means getting up to switch the TV on, wow I sound like such a couch potato... It's just convenient to have them there really!

And that's everything that I keep on my bedside table! There's also often a drink of some description and some food sitting on there too but I kept those out of the photo because well, I'm not sure really!

I hope you enjoyed this post, and if you did I also have a Dressing Table tour post planned for the next few days so keep your eyes peeled for that if you would like to see a more beauty related post! If that goes down well, I may think about doing a makeup collection and storage post but we'll see!

See you next time!

What do you keep on your bedside table?

Love, Becca
