Drugstore Beauty Haul

Long time no see! 

I know I've been incredible inactive at the moment, but I tried to work the guest posts I had around this time where I haven't had much time to write a post myself so I hope you enjoyed those posts from Peter and Kate - I think we can all agree they were fabulous posts! 

I did explain briefly on my last post that I am going to struggle to be posting regularly now that I have started my A levels because I honestly just don't have the time. If I could make a living out of this and not have to go to school, there's no doubt in the matter I would be doing this. But, unfortunately that's not how things work so my blog is going to have to take the back seat for now. I'm not giving this up completely or at all, I am still going to be posting as regularly as I find myself able to because I love doing this so much I don't want to stop completely. I just hope everyone understands that school is really important right now and so posts aren't going to have any particular schedule, it will literally just be whenever I can. I feel absolutely awful and it really upsets me that I cant post as regularly as I would like to but it has to be done and I know a lot of people will be able to relate to that.

Anyway, enough of me rambling about how time consuming A levels are and onto the actual post for today!

Since getting my first job back in August, I've had a little extra money in my pocket so I took the opportunity to replenish my makeup collection a little. I didn't go mad because I have some control, but there's a little bit here that I thought I'd share with you lovely lot!

I was desperate for a new foundation and one of my friends recommended the L'Oreal Infalliable 24 Hour Foundation to me after she saw it in one of Zoe's videos and so far I can totally understand why because I'm loving it! This was £9.99 which to me is a very affordable price for a foundation. Stay tuned for a a review!

I have recently developed a love for Topshop lipsticks. I bought this one first and then went back to get another which you will see next, and this definitely isn't the end of my Topshop lipstick collection! This is one of the birthday ones I believe and it is in the shade 'Beguiled'. It's a very deep berry tone so it's perfect for the Autumn and Winter months! 

So after absolutely loving 'Beguiled' I went back to get a colour that is completely out of my comfort zone... purple... I wasn't sure if I'd be able to pull it off but I really wanted to try and I honestly love it so far! This one is in the shade 'Inhibition' and it's another perfect Autumn and Winter colour. For only £8, Topshop lipsticks are totally affordable.

I realise that I am very late to the band wagon on the Collection Lasting Perfection Concealer and I honestly have no idea why. The first time I used it I literally said 'oh my god' out loud! It's brilliant! Someone tell me why I didn't get this sooner! For £4.19 you really can't knock it! 

Another Topshop piece is their eyeshadow pencil in the shade 'Vicious Circle'. This is slightly too dark for the colour of my eyebrows but by using the brush on the other end to blend it out, it looks the perfect shade, I've never been a person for spending hours on my eyebrows because to be honest it's my least favourite part and I just can't be bothered to mess around with them. So, for me a pencil is the easiest way, very lazy, I know. Someone come teach me how to do them properly please? I believe this was about £6 which again is super affordable.

Just to add to my brush collection, I picked up the Real Techniques Expert Face Brush because it's one that I've wanted for a little while now. My brush collection is something that I feel quite proud of so far and I am continuing to grow it, most of it is Real Techniques to be honest. Can't really knock them... This was £9.99 which I think is a fair price for a brush of this quality.

Taking advantage of this week off and getting some posts written for you so I have something to put up over the next few weeks! Hate abandoning you all!

Stationery Haul

I am pretty much feeling like the worst blogger in the world right now... I said I was going to upload on Saturday and Sunday because I missed one of my posts last week and I put one up on Saturday like I said I would, however I didn't on Sunday and I didn't put anything up on Monday either. I know, absolutely shocking I'm sorry.
I got completely caught up in life really, I've had work to do ready for starting my A levels TOMORROW, yes tomorrow, and I just didn't manage to get anything ready for you so I'm really sorry and I hope you can forgive me.
I think now that we're back into the school term and I'm doing 4 A levels I'm going to have to go back to 1 post a week and just generally posting when I can because I now have a job as well and juggling everything is going to be a challenge for me. However, I've worked so hard on this blog and I love it too much to let it go completely so I am going to keep it up as much as I possibly can. I just hope you all understand that it will be a little bit touch and go from here until probably the next half term.
I love you all and I hope you all don't mind this change going from 4 posts weekly to this but some things have to be done, however I do have an exciting post for you today so lets get on with it!

So anyway, we have reached the end of the summer just about. Anyone feel like they blinked and missed it? Yeah, me too. 

To cheer myself up, I went stationery shopping with my friends and I got a little over excited and carried away to say the least, but doesn't everyone when stationery shopping? Has to be the only good think about back to school time. So, since I did a big shop I thought I would share what I got with you! Enjoy!

So first I picked up some notebooks for 3 of my subjects. I didn't pick up one for textiles because I'm not sure yet how much writing there will be, so I might have to pick up another one later. These were from WHSmith and they were £3.99 each which I thought was pretty decent. They are lined, obviously because plain paper is pointless, and there are 160 pages in each, so hopefully they should last me long enough.

I also picked up 3 ring binders to match each of my other subjects, colours all match because I'm organised. Again, I didn't get one for textiles because I have something else for that which you will see next! These were a bargain though, only £1 each from Wilko! 

So here's the file I have for textiles! Textiles requires putting together a portfolio so all my work will go in this A3 display file I got from Boundary Mill for £3.99. I may yet also need a ring binder for theory work but again, I will no doubt find that out when I go in tomorrow! 

Of course, one thing you always need for school is pens. I always go for the BIC ones because I think they're the best, plus they have cute colours! I picked up a 10 pack of black ones for £1.50 and a 10 pack of the coloured ones also for £1.50 from Wilko.

Again from Wilko I picked up some standard HB pencils and I got the Stabilo 4 pack for £1. These have times tables on but I didn't realise that when I bought them! However, I don't mind because I'm dreadful at them, not that I need it since I'm no longer studying maths but you never know when you might need it!

Still at Wilko I got this Pritt stick for £1.50.

You can't study textiles without colours! So I picked up this pack of 10 Stabilo fine liners for £2.50 and this pack of BIC coloured pencils for £2.25, again all from Wilko.

And then of course I picked up some new highlighters because I highlight everything all the time. This is just a cheap pack I picked up in Wilko for 65p. 

And of course I need a bag to carry all this in! I got this one from New Look for £19.99 and I just think it's really pretty. Carries everything I need it to and it looks cute so it's a win-win!

Another Mini Primark Summer Clothing Haul!

So today it actually felt slightly like summer here in the UK. And it hasn't felt like May at all so I was pretty happy when the sun came out and I was able to roll my school jumper sleeves up because I was warm.

So, I thought that why not share a haul with you? I did a mini summer clothing haul not that long ago actually, so you can read that here. But, after I'd posted that I did a little more shopping and so I thought I'd share it with you because I love seeing other people's recent buys so why not share my own! Plus, it's a bit of a Primark one so why not! We all love a bit of Primark!

So I got 3 wraps to wear around the pool! The third one is really just a piece of material that you wrap around and tie rather than looking more like a dress.

I fell in love with these shorts even though this picture of them hurts my eyes... For only £5 I think they're super cute! 

This playsuit was also only £5 - I think we can all agree Primark does have some pretty good bargains!

I got 2 of these (the next one is further down) simply because I think they're just a staple really, they go with absolutely anything and again for £2.50 you can't go wrong!

I don't need to say anything more about these other than the fact they're gorgeous!

3 vest tops, just a summer wardrobe staple really!

And finally I got some more trainer socks. I really like the sport and workout socks from Primark because they're actually really good quality and they are SO comfy, honestly can't stress to you how comfy they are!

Mini Summer Clothing Haul

Summer is fast approaching and I'm super duper excited so I thought it was time to go out and buy some of the things that I need for the summer season.

So, since I know I love reading and watching other people's haul, I thought I'd share what I bought with you guys, so enjoy! 

I received a complimentary sample of the new Burberry Kisses lipstick from Burberry (I didn't buy this because it's complimentary but I thought I'd include it anyway.) I received a sample in the shade 05 - Nude Pink. I've tried this a couple of times but I will definitely post a review once I've formed a full opinion on the product!

I was in desperate need of some new sandals as mine are looking rather old and tired. I found these in New Look for just £7.99 each which I was unbelievably happy with! I was planning on only getting one pair but since these were so cheap I thought why not get 2! I think the gold detailing on both pairs adds something a little extra which I thought was really nice. 

I also needed some new flipflops so I headed to the heaven that is Primark and picked up a couple of pairs for just £1 each! I know these probably aren't the best quality but I go through flipflops so easily on holiday so in my opinion for me, it's not worth spending loads of money on them. I thought these 2 colours were really cute too!

I LOVE buying new sunglasses, I don't do it very often but there's something very satisfying about buying a new pair! My old ones are Primark ones and they've served their duty but they're also looking a bit tired and I don't want to rely on them for another holiday, so I headed to Topshop and picked up this pair of cat eye ones for £16. They have really nice gold hardware on them too which I thought adds something extra rather than just the plain black. I also really like the shape of these, something a bit different for me! You also get a free case with sunglasses in Topshop so get yourself down there! 

I've wanted one of these hats for my holiday when I'm sitting around the pool for a while now. I don't suit many hats so I've often just gone with a sunburnt scalp on holiday, however I found this one in H&M for £14.99 and thought it was super pretty! It looks so good with the sunglasses too! My head might get a little bit warm with it being black but at least it won't get burnt! 

And that's all I bought! There's still a few more things I need to buy for summer but I'll share those as and when I get them! I hope you enjoyed this haul!
